With this route we’ll be able to get to know some of the most interesting villages in the north of Baix Camp region: Prades: the red village. Called like this for the kind of stone that characterizes most of its buildings. Prades is the most popular tourist center in these mountains, from where it’s worth pointing constructions such as the gothic Santa Maria church, the porched main square and the renaissance fountain, as well as the different medieval portals. We‘ll walk along its streets and we will talk about its history, monuments and traditions. We’ll also visit the Mountains of Prades Interpretation Centre, in which we’ll learn about landscape of this region. Capafonts: this charming village offers places with a historical and social interest: we will visit a medieval bread furnace that is still preserved and which was in use until 1986. We will finish the tour with a tasting of the most typical products from Prades Mountains.
